Email Connection Settings

When setting up your email, it is important that your settings match. This article covers a complete set of matching settings to use for each desired email configuration for our servers.

For mail hosted on cPanel you may use the following options for each protocol:

Secure Connection Settings

Secure SMTP:

  • Username: Full email address.
  • Password: The password for the address you wish to access.
  • Mailserver/ Server Hostname: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 465
  • SSL: SSL/TLS
  • Authentication: Normal Password Authentication

Secure IMAP:

  • Username: Full email address.
  • Password: The password for the address you wish to access.
  • Mailserver/ Server Hostname: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 993
  • SSL: SSL/TLS
  • Authentication: Normal Password Authentication

Secure POP3:

  • Username: Full email address.
  • Password: The password for the address you wish to access.
  • Mailserver/ Server Hostname: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 995
  • SSL: SSL/TLS
  • Authentication: Normal Password Authentication

Normal Connection Settings

Normal SMTP:

  • Username: Full email address.
  • Password: The password for the address you wish to access.
  • Mailserver/ Server Hostname: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 25 or 26
  • SSL: None
  • Authentication: Normal Password Authentication

Normal IMAP:

  • Username: Full email address.
  • Password: The password for the address you wish to access.
  • Mailserver/ Server Hostname: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 143
  • SSL: None
  • Authentication: Normal Password Authentication

Normal POP3:

  • Username: Full email address.
  • Password: The password for the address you wish to access.
  • Mailserver/ Server Hostname: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 110
  • SSL: None
  • Authentication: Normal Password Authentication
