How Do I Change My DNS or Name Servers?

In order for people to find your website, you will need to configure DNS and set name servers, You can either use Dotcom Igloo's name servers, or you can use third-party name servers. Either way, you would need to configure them so your domain works with your Dotcom Igloo web hosting account.

Option 1: Use HostGator Name Servers (preferred)

The recommended route for most customers is to use Dotcom Igloo's name servers (nameservers/name-servers) since they are automatically configured to work with Dotcom Igloo web hosting accounts.

If you bought hosting from us and domain from somewhere else then you should set your domain name servers to:

ns1.dotcomigloo.com
ns2.dotcomigloo.com

In case you bought with us then you dont need to change anything because they will be on our dname servers by default.

Option 2: Use Name Servers Elsewhere (advanced)

For some advanced users, it may be desirable to use different name servers. This requires more maintenance, since it is not automatically updated like Dotcom Igloo name servers are.
